NordicTrack T Series 6.5S & 6.5Si Treadmill Review

Nordic Track is a company that has built a good reputation around the fitness equipment industry. In this review we will be going over the different features offered in two very similar treadmills released by NordicTrack, the 6.5S and the 6.5Si. Hopefully the information provided will help you decide which model, if any, will be the best option for your in-home gym.


The 6.5S

The NordicTrack 6.5S is the cheaper option of the two treadmills. This option is great for beginners. It offers a lot of the features typically included in more expensive models at a much lower price.

Programs

One of the greatest features included in the 6.5S is the 20 built-in workout programs provided with your purchase. The programs included give you a very wide variety of workouts with different levels of intensity. These programs will prevent you from getting bored with monotonous exercises, as well as allow you to choose specific workouts based on your fitness goals and aspirations.



Other Features

The 6.5S model also comes equipped with heart rate monitor handle bars so you can track your heart rate during your workout.

The deck is designed with FlexSelect cushioning. This feature allows you to switch the cushioning function on and off as desired. Leaving the cushioning on during your workout provides more support on the joints and may allow you to go for longer time frames or for longer distances.

The 6.5S is also very easy to fold and put in storage. It includes an EasyLift assist feature that simplifies the process of putting it in storage into one easy step.

The last notable feature included in the 6.5S model is the technology included in the console. It includes a 5 inch back lit display, an aux port, and dual 2 inch speakers.

One main difference is that the display on the console is twice the size, providing you with a much easier readability. It also includes an entire year subscription to the compatible iFit app, whereas the cheaper 6.5S only includes the one month trial.

Features

Some of the best features in the 6.5Si treadmill include the 10 inch touchscreen display, a 12 month iFit subscription, and non-flex rollers built into the deck of the treadmill.

The touchscreen display allows you to adjust the incline and speed in real time, as well as select pre-set workout programs that automatically adjust incline and speed for you. There are 20 programs included with the purchase of either of the two models; however, when you purchase the 6.5Si model, you will also receive 12 months of the iFit subscription. Valued at $396, this subscription will give you access to over 15,000 workout programs.

The last interesting feature included in the 6.5Si model is the non-flex rollers. This feature offers a much smoother operation of the treadmill than the cheaper 6.5S model offers. It also still includes the FlexSelect cushioning allowing you to choose if you want to keep it on or off.
